My First Year At Uni

Hello you lovely lot!
It’s been a while hasn’t it? I haven’t really felt the desire to blog until now, so I didn’t see the point in making myself do so, considering it is something I just do as a hobby.

This week I finished my first year of university, wooo! Only four years to go…

If you didn’t know, I study Business Management and Finance, part-time alongside my full time job.

I felt like documenting how I felt about my first year so I could look back on it in years to come!

I personally really enjoyed it. I honestly LOVE learning. I just find it fun and nothing beats gaining more knowledge – knowledge is power after all.

Before I started uni, I was SO nervous due to finding it a little difficult to speak to people, when I first meet them. However, it really wasn’t that bad at all, I just forced myself to mingle and appear confident, fake it ’til you make it baby!  I really enjoyed my course from the first day, I found the modules so interesting, I couldn’t wait to delve in and learn learn learn.

I didn’t personally find my first year of university to be too demanding alongside my full time job, I just used my spare time at weekends to complete my assignments, it did help that my boyfriend is also in uni part time, so we could work together. However, it is only my first year, so I know the work load will continue to grow and I am expecting it to get harder in time – luckily I’m always up for a challenge!

I was so happy when I got 99% on my first module assignment and it encouraged me to try as hard as I could. I’ve received a First for my first year and I couldn’t be happier. I genuinely am really looking forward to going back for my second year and learning more and completing more assignments – is that weird?

Overall, I really enjoyed my first year of university and I am so excited to carry on with my course for the next four years!

Lace Chokers & Silky Trousers

I must first apologise for how W H I T E I am!!!
I hate being so white but I also can never be bothered to fake tan lol, sooo it’s a lose lose situation, but hey hooooo!

I saw this beauuuuut choker bralet on ASOS and just had to order it.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look nearly as good on me as it did on the model

I paired the choker with these green silky trousers from River Island.

I already have a similar pair in black, which you can see me wearing, here.

They’re SO comfortable and could be worn both casual and more dressy – a lovely pair of trousers for the upcoming warmer months.

What do you think of this outfit?
Would you wear it?

Tie Dye Workout

Let me just start by saying I was absolutely freeeeeezing taking these photos!!! AND windy, eurgh I hate it when it’s windy!

I feel like my overly grinning face gives an idea of how cold it was and how I was trying to over compensate for it…

I love me some gym and with gym comes sweeeeet gymwear!

I have been going to the gym for a long time now (about the past 4-5 years) and have always been reluctant to buy new workout clothes. I’m not really sure why if I’m honest, I just never really liked spending money on it, buuuut that’s changed!!

I just keep buying new workout wear recently and I can’t help it, whoooops!!

^^^LOLLL^^^ at my face!!

This matching set is from a brand called South Beach on Asos.

Here you can find the top and and here you can find the bottoms.

I am contemplating posting about my workouts – so keep an eye out for that!

I would also like to start posting more about what I eat on a day to day basis – which is something that I find really interesting to read myself on other peoples blogs.

Dressing To The Nines | OOTD

Today’s post is a little OOTD!!

I got this beauuuuutiful dress from Missguided on ASOS.

P.S. Puuuuuhleeeease excuse how pale I am!!!

I haven’t actually had a chance to wear this beauty JUST yet but I couldn’t resist it for a day when I can wear it!!

It’s a skater style dress made of  lace with a deep plunging neck line.

It also has a layers of material underneath the skirt to make it puffier and more floaty which is lovely!

I paired the dress with my Kurt Geiger Carvela shoes which I got in 2015 – they were on sale and were a complete steal!! – and my Kate Spade purse that I bought last year from Bicester Village.

I feel this would make the perfect dress for a more formal event.

Do you like this dress? What’s your go to formal outfit? Let me know in the comments!

TOP MODEL UK | I’m In A Modelling Competition

I have some exciting news to share!
I recently applied to a modelling competition, which I didn’t think anything would really come of, but thought heck why not apply anyway!

Turns out, they liked me enough to select me as a GRAND FINALIST!!

I have been selected under the ‘natural beauty’ section and I am SO excited!

On 17th March 2017, I will be competing against other girls to win the title, in London on a catwalk.

The best part of this competition is that ALL proceeds go to charity and this years charity is Children with Cancer UK.

If you’d like to vote for me and donate to charity I would appreciate it so so much!

Click here and it will take you to the site.

Please share the link as much as possible as I’d really appreciate it!

As much as I’d love to win, I think the most important part is raising money for charity, which is what I’m more focused on.

I can’t wait to see how this event goes and how it shapes me as a person!

The company is called ‘Top Model UK’.

Their links are as follows: TWITTER | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | WEBSITE

In this post are a few photos from some modelling I’ve done before.

The photographer was the lovely Stephanie at Fairweather Photography who’s links will be below!

As mentioned, it would mean so so much to me if you could donate to such a worthy cause.

The link is here.
