My First Year At Uni

Hello you lovely lot!
It’s been a while hasn’t it? I haven’t really felt the desire to blog until now, so I didn’t see the point in making myself do so, considering it is something I just do as a hobby.

This week I finished my first year of university, wooo! Only four years to go…

If you didn’t know, I study Business Management and Finance, part-time alongside my full time job.

I felt like documenting how I felt about my first year so I could look back on it in years to come!

I personally really enjoyed it. I honestly LOVE learning. I just find it fun and nothing beats gaining more knowledge – knowledge is power after all.

Before I started uni, I was SO nervous due to finding it a little difficult to speak to people, when I first meet them. However, it really wasn’t that bad at all, I just forced myself to mingle and appear confident, fake it ’til you make it baby!  I really enjoyed my course from the first day, I found the modules so interesting, I couldn’t wait to delve in and learn learn learn.

I didn’t personally find my first year of university to be too demanding alongside my full time job, I just used my spare time at weekends to complete my assignments, it did help that my boyfriend is also in uni part time, so we could work together. However, it is only my first year, so I know the work load will continue to grow and I am expecting it to get harder in time – luckily I’m always up for a challenge!

I was so happy when I got 99% on my first module assignment and it encouraged me to try as hard as I could. I’ve received a First for my first year and I couldn’t be happier. I genuinely am really looking forward to going back for my second year and learning more and completing more assignments – is that weird?

Overall, I really enjoyed my first year of university and I am so excited to carry on with my course for the next four years!
